Joseph P. Lyndsley
Dec. 21, 1959 - Nov. 16, 2021

Joseph P. Lyndsley, 61 of Gowanda, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 16, 2021, at the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo, N.Y.

Born in Dunkirk, N.Y., Dec. 21, 1959, the son of Lawrence and Joann (Mitchell) Lyndsley .

Joseph married the former Louanne Eddy on Feb. 14, 2004, in Gowanda .

Joseph held several positions with the Gowanda Central School, at the time of his death he was currently employed through the school district as a bus driver. His employment with the school spanned nearly 25 years. He loved spending time with family , enjoyed tractor pulls and paranormal TV shows, he was a volunteer fire fighter and EMT for Gowanda and Cherry Creek Fire Departments, a Cub Scout leader (Pack 276) and he coached Little League Baseball. Joe was selfless and would always be there to help someone in need, no matter who they were and would do so at the drop of a hat.

Survivors besides his wife, Louanne are children: Bethany (Brian Geiger) Lyndsley of Gowanda, Meghan (Tony Rak) Lyndsley of Arcade, Joseph P. Lyndsley Jr. of Gowanda, Jennifer ( Jeffrey) Enser of Springville, Kristeen (Jeremy) Sobotka of South Dakota, Jessica Bessette of Clarence and the late Patrick Lyndsley. Grandchildren: Madison, Gabriel and Sebastian’ along with a brother. Lawrence (Suzy) Lyndsley of Pennyslvania; nieces and nephews also survive .

Besides his parents and son, Joseph, he was preceded in death by a brother, William Lyndsley.

Friends may call Monday Nov. 22, 2021, from 2-4 p.m. and from 6-8 p.m.. from the SCHINDLER FUNERAL HOME, 44 Center St., Gowanda (masks required if not fully vaccinated) where funeral services will be held Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2021, at 11 a.m., interment to follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery Gowanda.

If desired, memorials may be made to a local charity of ones choice.
