Lorna E. Kerr
Sep. 1, 1935 - Nov. 25, 2021

Lorna E. Kerr, 86, of Main Street, South Dayton, passed away Thursday, Nov. 25, 2021 at her residence.

She was born in the town of Pomfret, on Sept. 1, 1935, the daughter of the late Walter and Blanche (Grantier) Scheskey.

Lorna was a graduate of Forestville Central School, class of 1954. After the passing of her mother at a young age, she was raised by Gifford and Anna Clement.

For many years, she wrapped meat for Kerr’s Custom Butchering, South Dayton. Lorna was a member of South Dayton United Methodist Church and the Forestville Order of Eastern Star Chapter 245.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and also enjoyed sending out special occasion cards to her church family and friends.

Survivors include Carl Kerr, three daughters; Sue (Mike) McCadams, of McKenzie, Tenn., Jay Lee (Joe) Robinson, of Forestville, and Julie (Steve Foster) Kerr of South Dayton; two sons: Ricky Kerr, of South Dayton, and Scott (Heather) Kerr of South Dayton; and a sister, Alice Scheskey of Gowanda. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren: Melody, Cheryl and Jeremy Kerr, Stephanie McCadams Smith, Megan McCadams, Andrew and Tiffany Kerr, Derek, Dylan and Deven Robinson, Ryan and Robbie Clutter; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by a grandson, Steven Kerr; and by three sisters: Betty Scheskey, Lila Libby and Viola Offhaus; and her best friend, Ellie Mae Saye.

Friends are welcome to call at the South Dayton United Methodist Church, 328 Pine St., South Dayton, on Thursday, Dec. 2, from 1-3 p.m., from where a celebration of life will be held at 3 p.m., with the Rev. Wes Tessey and the Rev. Carol Dill officiating.

The family suggests memorial donations may be made either to the South Dayton United Methodist Church, 328 Pine St., P.O. Box 272, South Dayton, NY 14138 or to the charity of one’s choice.

Arrangements are by Riles & Woolley Funeral Home, Forestville.
