Robert E. “Zerb” Harvey

Robert E. “Zerb” Harvey, 71, of Dayton passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at Bertrand Chaffee Hospital in Springville. He was born on June 1, 1951, in Springville, son of the late Phillip and Rosetta Jean (Bassett) Harvey. For many years he worked for the WNYSDDSO as an Aide and was also employed through Carrier Coach.

 Zerb was an active member of many area clubs including the Gowanda Moose, Slovenian Club, Gowanda American Legion No. 409 and Gowanda VFW No. 5007. He was also a life member of the NRA, Ellicottville Sportsmen Club, Cattaraugus Rod and Gun Club, as well as the Cattaraugus Fire Dept. of which he served as former chief.

Zerb is survived by three sons, Joseph (Diana) Harvey of Cattaraugus, Kenneth (Kelly) Harvey of Cattaraugus, Timothy (Christie) Harvey of Falconer, and a daughter, Andrea Harvey of FL. Also surviving is a stepson, Kenneth (Lori) Lindquist of Dayton, and a step-daughter Linda (Brian) Norton of Coventry, RI. He is also survived by a brother, Wayne (Patty) Harvey of Derby, a sister Jean May of Springville, fifteen grandchildren, one great-grandson and several nieces and nephews. Zerb is also survived by his loving companion, Linda Johnston of Dayton.

Friends may call on Thursday, June 16, 2022 from 1-3 pm and 5-8 pm from Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St. in Little Valley,

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be announced.

Memorials may be made to Ellicottville Sportsmen Club or Roswell Park.
