Lee Bailey Jr.
Nov. 9, 1933 - March 13, 2021


Lee Bailey Jr., 87, of Bailey Hill Rd. passed away Saturday March 13, 2021 at his home.

He was born Nov. 9, 1933 on Bailey Hill Rd. the son of the late Lee Sr. and Frances (Pritchard) Bailey.

Mr. Bailey ran the Family Dairy Farm on Bailey Hill for many years until his retirement.

On June 21, 1952 he married the former Elizabeth Hahn who predeceased him on Oct. 9, 2013.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and an avid outdoorsman. He was a great storyteller and loved a good joke, he’s now went to dance with his Liz in the streets of Heaven. He was a member of the Gowanda Moose Club, Slovenian Club and a social member of the South Dayton American Legion.

Mr. Bailey is survived by 3 sons Chris (Carol) Bailey of Cattaraugus, N.Y., Michael (Catherine) Bailey of Elma, N.Y. and Jeffrey Bailey of Cattaraugus, N.Y. and 4 daughters Pennie (Bob) Stark of Dayton, N.Y., Cheryl (Roy) Lindberg of Youngstown,N.Y., Julie (Randy) Scott of Cherry Creek, N.Y. and Fran Bailey of Buffalo, N.Y. and his grandchildren Jason and Stephanie Monn, Jacob Scott, Emily Kohler, Ryan Stark, Kevin and Tyler Bailey, Tammy Grimm, Lori Bielecki, Olin and Abigail Bailey and Joshua and Autumn Bailey and 29 great grandchildren and a great-great grandchild. Also survived by his Loving Companion Susan Taber. A sister Bonnie(Ron) Bennett of Seaford,V.A. and several nieces and nephews survive.

Besides his wife he was predeceased by a son Randall Bailey, a grandson Adam Stark, and his siblings Clarence Colson, Betty Stankey and Florice Kelly.

Friends may call at the Mentley Funeral Home Inc. 105 East Main Street in Gowanda, N.Y. on Wednesday March 17, 2021 from 4-7 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. from the Funeral Home.

Burial will be in Parklawn Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Leon Ambulance Service.
