Theresa A. Butzer
Mar. 2, 1939 - Mar. 11, 2020

Theresa A. Butzer, 81, of Gowanda, passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at the Jennie B. Richmond Nursing Home in Springville. She was born on March 2, 1939 in Gowanda, NY, daughter of the late Paul and Rita (Timmell) Gernatt. On April 26, 1958, she married Harold Butzer who survives.

Besides her loving husband of 61 years, she is survived by two sons; Michael (Rhonda) Butzer, and Donald Butzer, two daughters; Maryann (Art) Koske, and Christina Butzer, and a son-in-law, Brian Hapeman. Also survived by two brothers; Arthur (Elaine) Gernatt and Joseph (Jenny) Gernatt, and nine sisters; Joyce Kehr, Olive (Werner) Stang, Rita (Norbert) Gabel, Rosemarie (Robert) Butzer, Sue (Marty) Niefergold, Mary (Charles) Richmond, Bernadette (Rick Jemison) Folts, Annette (John) Noto, and Diane (Steve) Woloszyn, and sister-in-law, Annette Gernatt. Also beloved grandmother of seven grandchildren and seven grandchildren as well over 200 nieces and nephews surviving.

Besides her parents, Mrs. Butzer is predeceased by a daughter, Laurel Hapeman, a brother, Paul "Digger" Gernatt Sr. and a sister, Joan Schuster

Friends may call on Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 1-3 PM and 6-8 PM and on Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 4-7 PM from Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main St. in Gowanda.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be said on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 11 AM from Epiphany of Our Lord RC Church in Langford.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Epiphany of Our Lord RC Church.
