Gowanda Historical Scrapbook
In previous times, local publications used to run historical features using photos shared by the Gowanda Area Historical Society. (see our archives section) As publications changed over, those features faded away. Realizing that the photo sharing is still going on through the Facebook "You Know You're From Gowanda" group, GowandaOnline decided to start this section dedicated to preseving these historical memories.
Beginning in Sept. 2022, An initial search for photos shared in 2022 on Facebook resulted in a group of photos to start up this section. Thanks to Gowanda historian, Phil Palen, for sharing these memories and to Frank Rizzo for initially posting them to his group. Hopefully, it will be possible to continually add to this section going forward.
