GCS Class of 1953 celebrates 50th Reunion
Each person was presented a booklet entitled "1953 Remember When, A Nostalgic Look Back In Time." They also received a comical poem called "The Class Reunion." Tables were decorated with blue and white flowers, balloons and gold chocolate coins. Classmates enjoyed reminiscing and catching up on happenings since the last reunion. William Allen was the master of ceremonies and welcomed everyone including the class advisor and his wife, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hollenbeck. A moment of silence was observed for the deceased members of the class.
Prizes were awarded for various categories and a pop quiz about happenings taking place in 1953 was given by Mr. Allen. Class members Lynn Varney and Bob Hill entertained the class with some beautiful songs. The evening concluded with dancing to the music of the Little Big Band.
