Roger J. "Joey" Levandoske

Roger J. “Joey” Levandoske, 53, of Dunkirk, died Thursday evening, January 18, 2018, at home with his family and friends at his side.

He was born in Dunkirk, December 21, 1964, son of Roger C. Levandoske and the late Helen (Dziduch) Levandoske.

Roger was a graduate of Dunkirk High School class of 1983.

He retired from New York State Department of Correction at Gowanda after 25 Years.

An accomplished skater and member of the Dunkirk Rollerina Artistic Skating Club, and competitor who received multiple awards for his talents, also a Skate NYS Championship.

Roger loved, Cherished and would do anything for his daughters along with his two grandsons who called him “Papa”.

Roger and his dad loved to work on his trucks that he would race in the mud races, Roger would break his truck and his dad would put it back together for the next race.

He also enjoyed camping with his family and his two k9 buddies, Symba and Nala.

Surviving in addition to his father and K9 Buddies are his three daughters Taylor, Sommer and Allyson, all of Dunkirk; grandsons Amias Jusino and Alex Jusino of Dunkirk, a sister Kathy (Greg) Wisniewski of Silver Creek, and brother Robert Levandoske of Brocton, along with nieces and nephews also survive.

Relatives and friends are welcome to call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the R. Mackowiak Funeral Home Inc., 56 East Doughty Street in Dunkirk. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday morning at 10 o’clock in Blessed Mary Angela Parish Church of St. Hyacinth. Interment will be in St. Hyacinth’s Cemetery.

Flowers are gratefully declined and memorials can be made to the Lake Shore Humane Society, 431 E. Chestnut St., Dunkirk or Hospice of Chautauqua County, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY 14750.
