Gifford B. Libby

Gifford B. Libby, 78, of King Road, Forestville, died Thursday, January 19th, 2023 at his residence, following a short illness. He was born in the Village of Silver Creek, on August 11, 1944, the son of the late Burton and Lila (Clement) Libby.

He worked as a Packer for the former Carriage House, Fredonia. Gifford also worked for the Carnation Milk Plant in South Dayton, Cherry Creek Woodcraft and Waterman’s Farm in Forestville. He loved doing farm work.

Survivors include his wife Michell M. (Inman) Libby, whom he married on August 17, 1997, in the Town of Hanover, a son, Charles Bart Libby, of Forestville; four sisters, Diane (Brian) Bobseine, of Gowanda; Nancy Work, of Angola; Kathy (Gerd) Tabak, of South Dayton; Becky (Tom) Kuhs, of Perrysburg; three brothers, Wayne (Leah) Libby, Larry Libby, and Terry (Althea) Libby, all of Forestville. Also surviving are several nieces & nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a sister-in-law Tina Libby.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
