Beloved husband of Darlene (Stevens) Lay. Loving father of Bethany Lay, Theresa Lay, Scott Lay (Shannon), Marcy Isaac, Aedzan Iyo Seneca and Terah Seneca. Grandfather of 20 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Son of the late Thomas and Rhoda (Printup) Lay. Brother of Edgar (late Myrtle) Lay, Maxine (Arthur Jimerson Sr.) Lay and the late Virginia (Vincent Sr.) Stevens, Tommy, Richard (Vivian), Gilbert (Iona) Lay, Hazel (Lester) Jimerson, Calvin (Freda) lay.

Friends may call at the Longhouse Cattaraugus Seneca Territory on Wednesday and Thursday where funeral services will be held Friday at 10 a.m.

Dennis was a member of the turtle clan.
