With heavy hearts and great sorrow, the Allen, Breedlove, and Delay families announce the passing of our brave, kind, caring, and unimaginably generous wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Kathleen “Kathy” Allen. Kathy, 58, of Gowanda, New York, passed away peacefully at home on March 22, 2023.

Kathy was born on August 2, 1964, and then raised in Cattaraugus, New York where she attended high school and graduated from in 1982. For a short few years, Kathy moved to Texas where she gave birth to her two sons Ryne and Austin. After moving back to New York, Kathy married her beloved husband Michael Allen Sr. on August 5, 1995, then raising their four children together.

Kathy is survived by her loving husband- Michael Allen Sr., her children- Nicole (Jake) Delay, Ryne (Alyssa) Breedlove, Michael(Kayla) Allen Jr. and Austin (Nicole) Breedlove, her adoring grandchildren- Hadley and Avery Delay, Rylee, Madison, KateLynn, and Karlee Breedlove, Sean, Olivia, and Brooke Allen, Mackenzie and Nathan Breedlove, as well as her brother, sisters, family, and friends.

Kathy worked for BOCES for over 20 years, as well as working for the WNYDDSO for a brief period before her passing, in which she requested that memorial donations be sent to the Special Olympics.

Private family services will be held.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main St. in Gowanda.
